401 short block

    Funny you should ask, I took my motor to automotive machine & perforomance the 2 week in Aug. Mike thought he could get to it some time in late Oct.maybe Nov. He called the first week in Sept. and he had the block done and the crank out to be cut 10. And wanted to do how soon it would be before I could get the piston ordered.I went with Egge 30 over pistons wish I could have gotten forge but get afford the $$$$$ right now and besides this is not going to be a race car. Just a couple times down the track to see what she'll do. Mike will be breaking in the motor and is doing the dyno on the build as well.I would like to think I could get close to the magic number of 400hp but think it will be closer to 375-385hp and I'm trying to get as close to 10:1 as possible. Everything will be balance(rotating assembly) and port matched


    My build goes as this: Comp cam 218-230 @.50 Lsa 112 (gsgtx cam)

    We know that cam with gessler heads has made 400 hp before. I think you will be close.:TU:
