425 in 54 chevy truck

    getting ready to transplant 425 in 54 tk with 79 camaro subframe. anyone done this ? suggestions welcome

    Fred sounds like a nice truck. Nothing better than a detailed nailhead. In the future I would like a 29 ford lowboy with a 425 or 401.:beer

    I'm putting a 455 into a '78 chevy truck, but nailheads and early trucks are uncharted territory for me!

    Well, I have not done this yet so I do not have any comment or suggestions except "sounds good".
    I have a 1949 Dodoge 1 ton I am scabbing a 71 camaro subframe onto and I still can't decide on whether or not to go with the 350 chevy (easy) or put the 401 nailhead w/ two 4's in it.
    I really want to go with the 700r4 I have and the conversions are costly so I may stick with the chevy and leave the 401 for the 66 skylark. BUT it's gonna be a race car and my 455 wants a home.

    DAMN!!! I think I just need another car so I can have a happy home for all my motors.
    I saw a nice 55 Buick Century wagon that could use a 455.:grin:
