  2. In and effort to reduce the spam on the site, several years ago I had went to a program where I manually approve each and every new registration. This approval gives you full access to the site, to pictures, and to post, among other things. To be able to enjoy the full potential of the board for you, you need to be fully registered.. and that's easy.. Just send an email to me at jim@trishieldperformance.com and I will verify your registration. This policy will remain in effect indefinitely, as it has completely eliminated the bad actors from our site, who would spam and hack it, once they gained access. Thanks JW

Kinda sorta maybe interested in it. Called machine shop that did it in 2022, no record. They updated their computer system. Seller has no additional input. He went Ls1 way. Has 2 71 Skylarks. Just curious.

    TrunkMonkey Totally bananas

Receipts, order/invoices, proof of payment, but the harder you have to work to get proof you need to convince yourself, the further you want to distance yourself from the "deal".

What you have at this point, is a stranger's "story" and a pretty core.

This is a "Casino" engine. How much you willing to lose?

Just for a point of referance, the machinists I use all can discuss in great detail just what they did on my motors 5-10 years after, and they are good sized shops. A machinist that cant remember a customer from 3 years ago is a huge red flag.

    436'd Skylark Sweet Fancy Moses!!!!!

I would pull a valve cover and also take a look down the distributor hole. Those look like 75-76 valve covers. Hopefully it has earlier heads on in. Otherwise it looks like it has been blasted or hot tanked. Not a bad buy if it is legit.

Once again, no one works harder to keep the prices of Buicks in the tank than the Buick community...

Definitely wouldn't pay a premium for that. On FB the group is convinced it is a scam as the seller is done doing online inspections. HUGE red flag if you are trying to get $3,500 out of an engine with the claimed work he's done and had done.
