    Transmission bolt up

Yes a big block Buick engine will bolt up to a buick (Buick, Olds, Pontiac, Cadilliac) th350. Some 455 flywheels(ringgears) are only drilled for a th400 converter. The problem is the extra torque of the 455 may greatly decrease your transmissions life. Others have (myself included) used a th350 behind a 455 with decent results.

Also (not that I am in favor of this) any Olds, pontiac engine would bolt up to this transmission.

If you decide to go the 455 route you should plan on a preformance rebuild of the your transmission in the near future. If you current transmission is in good shape and your 455 in fairly stock and you don't beat it too bad it will probably hold up for a while.

    Good Luck
