Trying to avoid paying TA for one of the remakes… any of you guys have an original laying around? Not looking for NOS. Thanks

I do stock them as well if you're wanting to give somebody else your money. Lol

I'm sure someone has an OEM piece for you though!

How about $45 shipped to your door provided you live in the lower 48.

So, which dipstick does my 1970 motor take, the one with the tube that bolts into the head or the one that goes straight into the block? Jim knows whether my block is an early or late block since he is building it currently and I haven't seen the block yet.

I was always told the 70 goes directly into block but I have seen 70's with the tube, and 71-76 had a tube. That is a nice way of saying I really don't know for sure.

My engine has a Girdle, will the dipstick clear the girdle?
I guess so, but want to be sure before i order an dipstick.
I need a dipstick that can be locked and will not blowout at WOT :)

In my race car I have 2 dipsticks with no tube. With one I measure the oil, normal length, the other one, also no tube, its very short,as I found out when racing,at high rpm the crank will stretch and hit the dipstick. If anybody needs a dipstick with no tube I have a couple.Bruno.
