I ended up with 3 different kinds of exhaust gaskets.I desided to see how they match up to the header.
One is a header gasket from a Buick supplier and the other 2 are from a over the counter factory replacement stock manifold gaskets.
I use the factory type gasket to seal up my headers because I had trouble keeping header gaskets from blowing out.The headers I use are TA 1 7/8tubes.The sealing lip on the header is only about 3/16 wide in spot if not smaller. After doing this I'm going to have a larger sealing lip put on my headers.
    Take a look see.

    it looks

like the best fit is the set in the middle.

    Madcat455 Need..more... AMMO!!!

the third set in the middle definatley fit better, but the second set end's looks to fit better. Not to mention that the second set will be WAY easier to replace when they blow. It took me ten minutes to replace the #8 gasket on mine.... Didn't have to remove the whole thing, just loosen the bolts... pop the old one out and slide the new on down. I spent the better part of a day putting on the first set after a blow out.:af:

I'm never going back to any other gasket after that.... I still can't believe how easy it was.
