455 head bolt size

    Can someone tell me what size the head bolts are on the 455? I wanted to get a tap to chase the threads out before I put the head on. Thanks.

    And make sure you use a thread chasing tap rather than a thread cutting tap.

    Agreed!

    A lot of folks probably don't realize that using a cutting tap in an already threaded hole opens things up even more, a big no-no when it comes to thread engagement. I like the low-buck suggestion.
