I have a chance to purchase a set of hooker 1204 super competition headers. I want to make sure that they will fit in a 72 GS 455. Seller is not sure what they fit. Any info would be appreciated. Thanks

Those look right for your '72 GS, but be warned...the rearmost tube on each side is designed to exit the fenderwell. That means cutting the fenderwell.

Let's hear from a few more folks, I seem to remember super comps for BBB were p/n 1201.

Yeah, I had a PM from Adamek, he had those headers. He posted this picture,

I'm not really fond of that. Adam was asking about my MT headers.

1201 showed up in a search for these headers on a few different posts, not for gaskets but the headers themselves, so let's wait to hear from others.

Great pic Larry, pretty much sums up the modifications needed.

That's one way to get close to equal length tubes, but then you're also slinging road debris on that tube everywhere you go.

Maybe a moot point, I now see this is posted in the race section!

That’s before they figured out how to get equal-lengths all inside the frame. Or you can just have custom headers made.

I had those kind of headers on my 68 GS convertible. I liked those headers a lot, but you also have to put skinny tires on the front of your car or you can’t make very sharp U-turns.

There are much better alternatives than these.
