I've got a '58 Century that someone has transplanted the entire drive train from a later Buick. 455, open drive. It runs and drives but the output shaft seal of the transmission and the input seal to the diff both leak. I suspect that either the drive shaft is out of phase or the crank and pinion shafts are not parallel. The engine just barely fits between the steering box on the driver's side and the heater fan on the other side. So my question is, has anyone here done this swap? How did you deal with the limited space?

You could always transplant a 401 nailhead/SP 400 into it. Just a thought. Or replace the seals that are leaking. They may just be bad.
