455 short water pump pulley

    Like it says, I need the pulley that goes with the short water pump on a 455.

    Joe,

    I think it depends on what car it was in. I think it has to be off a Skylark/GS. I'll post over on the big block section and see if anybody has a pic of what I need.

    The water pumps from 67-70 were the short neck ones. 67-70 400-430-455 pulleys are the same regardless of whether they are in a GS or Electra/Riviera/Wildcat. What matters is if they are for A/C or not. A/C pulleys have a larger balancer pulley and smaller water pump one.
    Non A/C have both pulleys approx. the same diameter (water pump one may be just a bit larger). So, you need to see which one you have on the balancer and get the water pump once to match.
    The only other thing needed is to be sure what water pump you are running. A/C pumps have 5 blades and Non A/C 6. Mismatching the pump and pulleys can cause cooling issues.
