73' 455 stg 1 timing cover. Be nice to see some competition for the $400 Taperformance cover. It is probably better but $400, come on!!!!

Oil mod improvements are included in the TA design. The reason there is little competition is that there are not many Buicks like chevs. So not many are interested in developing a new product. At least TA took the risk of bringiing one to the market or we would have only the few NOS left.

    I agree.

I recently bought TA's new front cover kit with the oil pump and all. It ran me nearly $700.00 but I have to say it saved a lot of time and is a very high quality piece.
Thank you TA Performance for a job well done.

The TA piece is very high quality and makes the oil delivery more efficient. It is cast by an aerospace foundry for the ultimate castings. TA machines it in house. The TA cover is so good that it makes the original Buick look like it's "made in China", not many aftermarket parts can deliver that. It is pricey, but the Buick cover is very involved. My advice is if you buy one, protect it. Use an additive like RMI 25 in the coolant. Paint the exterior. Prevent the bolts from being able to corrode, etc. That way your investment will go much further. P.S. Don't powder coat the timing cover, the heat could expand the aluminum excessively and put the pump cavity out of tollerance.

At 700.00 for the complete assy, its not cheap. But what a difference vs my old cover! After installing it and seeing the difference, it was money well spent. Another way of looking at it is, I'm spending 700.00 to protect an engine I have 6500.00 into. Kinda puts in into perspective.
