I am selling an engine that came in a project car. According to the info I received with the car, this engine is: 462 Engine for Sale minus intake (re-used on new engine for project) 74 block, 0.030" Forged Pistons 1970 Stage 1 Heads (haven't verified, but will for serious parties) According to the spec sheet, the bearing clearances are wide Large Oil Galley timing covers, TA adjustable oil pressure regulator (see above) Scott Brown cam, 226/238, 113 LSA, +3 advanced 9.6:1 I recommend to disassemble and inspect before using. I only drove the car on and off the trailer with it. No unusual sounds or smoke. Can deliver to the GS Nationals, $2,200 OBO, located in Flat Rock, MI
any pics, and verification of everything please. Also is this a short block, or long block, I see it's minus intake, but what else will I need?
Its a long blk, I should have my pc w/the pics/docs 2 day and will post them. I'm replying from my phone. Thank you.
Rob will this engine be at bg only if you sell it beforehand? I have a friend looking . We have a few extra parts he's collected and he has a crank and heads. Looks like its a little loose on the crank. Is there a lot of bore wear? how many miles/passes.
Correct, the engine will only be at BG if it's sold. My guess is the engine has very little time on it. The receipts are from around 2000, that owner sold the car to a friend of mine and it sat for several years until my father in law bought it in 2005 or 2006. I only pulled the car on/off the trailer. HTH
No problem, here are some ported manifolds for sale locally. I know the car they came from, it ran 11.8x's. http://www.v8buick.com/showthread.php?p=1408650#post1408650
