I thought I've sent enough horsepower to Denmark to embarrass those chevy guys.:Brow: Crate is already built and ready to go. gary
Oh,sorry for the misunderstanding. I think I'm set with heads for now, will let you know if I need an upgrade. gary
Is this still available I don't want to hold up a sale but I blew my motor last night and I am trying to figure out the most cost affective way of getting my car back up and running thanks Glen
Just curious. How did you get to 470 ci with a .030" over bore? Did you mean .038" over? What would the compression be for a standard Stage 2 SE head? Do the copper gaskets come in different thicknesses? But with .012" deck height, a .028" gasket would give the desired .040" piston to head clearance. Or is that too little clearance for an Alum rod engine? I have no experience with them.
I just sent a couple set of copper gaskets to Fritz they were like .050 to .060 thick I only have a cheapo mic since someone stole my tools several years ago
Still available Glen. Lots of inquiries on making it streetable and can be done, but its pedigree is race oriented, By the way, if you want a lifter girdle I have one and the block is set up for one if need be. gary
there you are. What a site you break an engine and there is a replacement ready to go. I wish I was ready.:beers2:
Thanks Gary I am going to step aside for now until I can look into what damage has been done to my motor thanks Glen
The only variable left is the thickness of the head gasket: .050 11.87 .060 11.75 .070 11.30 .080 11.03 Copper gaskets come in a variety of thicknesses. gary
Just a question about the block. Now that it has been grooved for "O" rings is it still possible to use regular gaskets, composition or MLS, instead of the copper and "O" rings?
I believe you can use the cometic MLS, but I never tried. the wire can be easily removed though, I've done it before. gary
And of course I didn't realize my chamber volume was so small so I will have to step back out of line.
