Hello all. I got a fair amount of work done today. I need to know which of the cooler lines coming out of the transmission is fluid out and which is fluid in? I have to know the flow direction. I bought an inline tranny filter, mixing it with the Trishield/Wiese cooler kit for a TH400. It all works good on a 4l80e by the way. Just needed one brass elbow.

I want to get er' dun' in the morning.
    Thanx.

    1997 & later...

Front trans line: out to cooler
Rear trans line: in from cooler

Wow, thanx for the fast feedback guys. Mine is a 1993, there are in a very similar place as is a Th400. I have been looking around and I can't find info on the earlier model.

    I will keep looking.

    Thanx for your time.

I have found out that 91-96 have 2 in the front, like a TH400. 1997 & later have on in the front, and one closer to the tail. Flow direction is like a TH400. Which is just like a standing person. Food/fluid in the top, and the opposite on the bottom (gross, but easy to remember).

    Check this out.

    Thanx.
