Guys what brand of clutch do you run? And are you happy with it? I need to replace the one in my goat before Kil Kare. Thanks Noel

I've had Hayes and Zoom and I don't like either. I've heard nothing but good about the centerforce dual friction clutches. I've heard they are easy to drive stick like crazy and have a soft pedal. I'll find out in the next year or so.

Dual Friction Centerforce works well. Brian Stefina and I just had that conversation and they clutches have been taking the abuse that we've been dishing out. No complaints here, knock on wood!

    Centerforce.

Ditto on Centerforce. Harder to slide it than a stock one for a soft launch to avoid tire shock, but that's minor compared to all the other advantages mentioned above. Have been running the same one for the last 5 years in the Ramrod. Have 2 more ready to go into the other two cars.

Fried a brand new Hays in less than a month on my 65 442 with street usage only. Never get one of them again.

    Centerforce DF works great.

Ditto on the Centerforce, at high rpms the clutch clamps so tight I thought I broke something on my first 6200 shift ! But at lower rmps it will not kill your leg in traffic.

Have run Hayes, Zoom, Ram and stock rebuilt.

Unless it's just not available for the application I won't use anything but the Centerforce Dual Friction.

Had one in the Vette and one in the Merc.

    Center Force

I have centerforces in several cars and they stand up to a beating. I have untold amount of passes on my RA IV and street duty. It is a clutch beating car as it wieghts 4000+ with me and it takes a 3000+rpm luanch with a bit of sliding to keep the car on the cam every luanch. It has made it five seasons now with no loss in ET's.

My 69 6bbl runner was a real clutch killer till I put the centerforce in. It has held steady thru racing and driving. The only clutch to do so. The Hayes' went poof by the minute in this car.

    Good luck.

I will also vouch for the Centeforce Dual Friction. Best holding clutch I have ever used. :TU:

Did you give it time to break in? I ruined one once on my 350, did not give it enough time to seat. If it went up in smoke, it is junk now.
