http://www.trishieldperformance.com/503ci-stage-1.html Jim, I was interested in the bore/stroke combination of the 503? Is this combo for a standard block or a new TA block? Thanks, Allen
TA Block 4.5x3.95 My 470 rotating assembly with bigger dia pistons, in a TA block, is what it is. They have a limited number of TA blocks with Buick crank/cam sizing. The 503 if for folks who just have to have the look of the Alum block, but don't need the high buck crank and rods that make a 555 shortblock cost $15K. JW
With a good balance job, I would have no problem with 900+ HP and 6500-7000 rpm intermittently. Light components of course would be the best here. The crank was never the issue.
