Slowest FAST Car - Lots of people asked me why I ran FAST at this race. I wanted to try something besides bracket racing at the local podunk strip. Five years ago when I put my car together it was easier and cheaper to put a 455 in it than to rebuild the stock 400. So even though there lots of faster F/S cars at the race, it didn't seem right to run a non-stock car in F/S. I have to say that nobody laughed at me (at least not out loud) and the FAST guys are a first class group. I had a great time and I'll try it again. Does trailering you car make it faster? :laugh: Maybe that should be the first modification I try. I DID win one of my 2 out of 3 races. Can you say HOLESHOT? This run made my day.

Ditto Yeah, don't miss a gear, besides sounding really ugly, you get to watch the car next to walk far enough away from that you can't reel him back in ou: That was second round. Third round was lost in my 1-2 granny shift to make sure it went in, but I'm sure Doug saw me out of the corner of his eye as we were going through the cones :ball:
I know what you mean....missed fourth a few times with the trans glitches...I think it still beats watching a car drive away before your lights even start to drop, or seeing someone reel you in from way behind though...... :3gears:
