    Hello All,
I have some 64-65 interchangeability questions for you.

    1) Are the front fenders the same on 64-65 Special and Skylarks the same?
2)Are the 64 and 65 front bumpers interchangeable? I know they look different, but do they bolt up or does it require the swap of the grill and headlight trim too?
    3) Are Special and Skylark doors the same? I see that the door panel goes all the way to the top of the door on the Skylark. Is this just a function of the door panel or is the door physically different?

    Thanks in advance,
    Jeff

Jeff tje bimper on the 64 turns up on the ended and the fenders are made to accept that turn. The 65 bumper is straight and the fender it made for that. The core support is different on how the headlight bezels mount and the lower section that holds the radiator is wider on the 65 cars because the wider radiator for the new GS model. The specials might have the narrow radaitor mount.

You can bolt 65 fenders, core support, and bumpers on a 64 but you need to keep this items together. The 64 hood doesnt have an emblem just the BUICK letters and the 65 has the emblem.

You can use skylark door panels but if you use the special panels you need the chrome that holds them in place. The post door is different.

    Good Luck
