I want to remove the 4 speed console in my 64 Skylark to replace the rubber shifter boot, but have no idea as to how it is fastened down. If you have ever seen one, you know that is extremely rare and if it were to break removing it, well, I have never seen one before I got this car and replacing it would probably be impossible. Any one out there ever worked with one??? Also, if anyone knows of where I could find the correct shift boot, I would appreciate it. Thanks. :beer
