I'm looking for a passenger door for a '64 Skylark 2 door hardtop, rusty is OK, I don't need the glass, or any interior items, just the door, a complete, not falling apart door, the only thing I ask is for it to have no large dents, don't get me wrong, I'll take a nice one too!! One more thing, to be resonably priced compared to the condition, my wallet says the crappier the better! Or, if anyone has seen a '64 Skylark in a So. California junkyard and wouldn't mind sharing the info., that would also be great! Thanks in advance, Gary G.(858)531-2963 or "badbuik@cox.net"
Yes, I've been told a '65 door would work, just the trim at the top of the door is different. I have a line on one from another board member, but I'm keeping my options open, can you send me pics.? What condition, and where are you located? Home EMail is "badbuik@cox.net" Thanks, Gary G.
OK, a couple "members" said they had a door to sell, but we never made a deal, storage, shipping issues, snow, etc. well, I Still Need A Door. Passenger door for a '64 Skylark, a '65 door will work, you can keep the trim, glass, I just need a door that is in good shape. Pictures will help seal the deal, as long as it's a fair price, send pics. to "badbuik@cox.net". Or if you've seen a '64 or '65 in a So. California junkyard, tell me where and I'm there! Thanks. Gary G.
Gary I will get the door tomorrow!!!!!!!! Sorry but the body shop finally pulled out cars from in front of the storage trailer.
Hope I didn't offend anyone, I'm just kinda bored, my race car is broken, waiting for an aftermarket crankshaft, too much idle time on my hands. Just let me know the details. Thanks, Gary G.

not at all Gary I dropped the ball on this and will go out there today for the door I sent you pictures of a while back. I have been trying to get my 64 done. Sorry. Plus it will warm up to 60 today!! Thanks Ed
picked up the door today Gary, I need to remove the window and hardware tomorrow and then I will go to Greyhound to see how much to ship it. Any ideas on how to box it?
Gary, what trim is different? I am going to use 65 doors on my car? I have everything off but the door hinges and I need to find a way to remove the big phillips screws holding them on.
I know for sure that the trim at the top of the door, by the window felt, is different, a '65 has a thin "bead" like chrome trim piece, the '64 that piece is about 1 inch wide and flat. If ya can't get the hinges off, I'm sure we can work something out, unless you need them, if that's the case, may need an impact, the kind ya hit with a hammer, maybe?? I figure if ya just wrapped it in cardboard, that'll be OK, I'll take my chances, and this should be as easy as possible for you. Gary
Gary I need the hindges and will go to a harbor freight to buy that impact tool tomorrow and find out how much to ship to SD CA.
ED, how's it going, can we still do the door deal? Hears some info. for shipping Escondido, CA 92025. Any other info. please send your request to my home EMail address, "badbuik@cox.net" Gary G.
Got the hinges off. I have to be in Mpls. this week and will take the door with and check on shipping it Greyhound from there to SD, CA.
Gary Greyhound quote is 49.65 at 50 lbs. and 43.64 at 40lbs. I have not weighed the door but guessed 50lbs.. It will be shipped to Escondido, Ca. If you still wait it send me a PM. Thanks Ed
