I have 2 of these in my hand NOS that are going to be reproduced... they are at the Rubber factory right now...I am trying to figure out how many of each to make... this is the non console 4 speed shift boot ... and the Upper boot for a consolete NOT the lower console boot ... how many takers... I believe the upper shift boot is the same all the way up to 72 as is the non console 4 speed and 3 speed boot.. this pic is the non console floor shift 65-67 may also be correct for 68 - 72..I have never seen one to compare...but I bet its the same
Jimmy I would be interested in a 1969 non console shift boot but I dont believe its the same as the one you have pictured. maybe someone else will give there opinion. Tony
Early boots fit the round shifter. Does your '69 have a rectangular shift handle like a Hurst? Early retaining ring is different than the later ones too. Fusick makes a repo boot for the later 442's, but the base is much larger than the late Buick boot. Jimmy, I'll take 3 upper consolette boots, and 4 non-console boots!
Walt, We checked this before and I believe the changeover was between the 67 & 68 model years. If someone does a search it will probably pop-up. Duane
That's still less than eBay price for a NOS one! I'm still in, but make it 3 instead of 4. You should post over at www.65gs.com too. You could sell a few more.
Can anybody tell me if this part is the same for a 65 GTO stick no console? The car is in storage and I cant picture the boot.ou:
goin to do the Lower first.... then the upper...I thnk the upper will be around 125-135... it depends on the negotiation we make with these Rubber heads...lol
