I have a stock 1965 Buick Special , Skylark or Gran Sport radio that has been customized . Converted to AM/FM with internal amp 25 X 4 rms and I pod hook up ! I also has RCA's so you can hook up amps if wanted .
Have original paperwork . Told me it cost almost $ 500 for conversion alone ! Looks completely stock !!! No pitting looks great ..
Was in my 65 convertible when I bought it but the lady wants to be able to play CD's and I need radio to have sub controls . I've bought a stock radio and Cd player ( putting in glove box ) for mine .
$ 450 or reasonable offer shipped :TU: . Will do trading if you have a stock mint 65 antanna complete plus cash .

Mike, who is going to spend almost 500 for a car radio right now? Did you notice this world is going into the crapper?

Banks report that more people have been depositing money instead of withdrawing. Leaving it in there for security reasons I guess.

I know and understand but if it's hard enough to find cherry stock radio without pitting looking like new plus conversion is worth big money . Plus it's or reasonable offer just not sure of it's value and willing to trade for pieces I need ie Ant. . Also want a cherry Tissue Box ( was planning on making flip down under dash to hold Cd unit but just putting in glove box for now ) :TU:

They do a great job. It's not cheap- I paid about $425, but really cool conversion that is completely stock with all new technology guts.
Turnaround time was about a month.

I would recommend these guys. I was going to do this on my 64 radio but its a convertible and I dont have all the speakers to justify the cost. The idle of the big TA cam is music to my ears!

I also highly recommend S&M Electrotech. They also offer a replacement dash speaker that is much better than the original.

The radio looks completely stock until you look under dash . You have to fine tune radio by ear still has original AM ID . Was done by Vintage Auto Radio in Waterford Wi www.vintageautoradio.com . I have paprwork showing how to install . I put I pod connect in ash trey but I think would be better to run into a console . I used a 6 1/2 3 way Pioneer in dash ( had to make a 1/4 - 1/2 " spacer because center hit ) I also put in Custom Audio Sound kick panels with Pioneer 6 1/2 4 way speakers . You can hook 2 , 3 or 4 speakers to radio power . It's has rca hook up so you can run one amp as well . I'll try to post pics if they don't work email me direct and I'll forward them to you . Thanks , Mike buicknut@earthlink.net or you can call me too .831-207-2793 :TU:
