I'm still working on it but will figure to post photos here. It's running and finally drove it around the property tonight. It would only run on the gas filled in the carb and fuel line. It wouldn't draw any gas from the tank. I figured the fuel pump was toast. It is the original AC pump from the factory. It is even still painted the Buick Green. But that was not the case. The metal line along the frame had holes in it at the frame clip retainers. I cut off a couple of feet and installed a rubber line temporarily. Now it draws gas from the tank and stays running. No coolant leaks but the water pump is making noise. I have changed the oil / filter. It had a rapping sound at high idle but that has gone away. Now it sounds like a normal Nailhead. The secondaries open right up with a slight moan and spins the tire good , even with that dinky Rochester 4 Jet. It will be better with the AFB on it. Funny that Buick rates the base 401 as 325 hp with that 4-Jet and single exhaust so I have to wonder how much more with a bigger cfm AFB and dual exhaust ? Any way, this is going to make a fantastic car !

In the first post it sounded like the engine wouldn't turn over???

The water pump was stuck and prevented the engine from spinning by hand. I didn't do anything but by the time I got it back to Florida, it seemed to free up.

Sometimes you can get them unstuck. You have to let them soak for a few days in whatever your choice of liquid is. Some use Marvel Mystery oil.

Interested in anything from or this entire parts car? It needs to go - as well. I might? be able to talk the yard owner into letting it go for under $1000 - front fenders, doors, and hood are all straight and clean.

It is a 401. Just like the one in my newly acquired Electra. "LT" code.

Maybe could use the chrome lower body moldings if they are not dinged up/dented and tail light/ bezels.

I have the original window sticker options list . I noticed that the glove box compartment lid is padded unlike the hard plastic lids on the other 2 '65 Electras I had previously. It's listed as a " B76 - instrument panel lower pad" . Never even knew of the option.

i don't know what happened to your steering wheel but it isn't cracked like every other mid sixties Buick i have ever seen, this car must have been kept out of the sun for the most part. The rest of the interior looks fantastic too!

18 years of mice piss and turds. Luckily the seat material wasn't shredded. The "smell" is gone now and smells like mid '60's Buick vinyl. Some minor color fade on a couple of places . Just mainly needs a driver door sill plate. The carpet is even nice. Oh, also need a set of maroon Buick floor mats. After I do the brakes it's getting a tag/insurance.

nice Buick! Good to see you on here. When you mentioned Florence, I remember who you are. I'm the guy that met you in Florence with the old outboard motor. BTW I've heard mouse piss can put a serious hurting on your health. Be careful!

    Take care,
    Andy
