Im going to the Salt lake area over thanksgiving with an empty trailer. I could bring the car with me for some fuel money.
Mike I am trying to talk to andrea to make sure I wont be sleeping in the car when it gets here, but if everything works out how much gas money do you need and what are you taking back with you Glen 206 261 5269
Glen, I didnt check the site yestarday past 1pm. I'm getting my regal ready for Hot Rod Drag Week. I understand that you'll pass. Even though we havent been able to talk about it. The car is still readily available for anyone to get it.
I would love to have the car my girlfreind who I have been with for 11 years has never complained about the 40 or so cars I have bought and sold over the last 11 years however this one she wasnt real excited about ony because the econmy is not so great right now and she thinks we should be saving more money thanks Glen
Back to the top. Price reduced. Why someone hasnt came & got this car is beyond me. I can deliver also! But that price will be negotiated.
Funny you say that, i had a guy wanting to buy but after he talked how he was gonna put a 400 sbc that we're building at the shop for him, with a turbo 400. I told him no, if ONLY he didnt buy a vega instead, he'd be a proud owner. I'd hate it but, money talks! Thats what happens when you wanna wait.....
Throw it on Ebay. What you want for it is the current average price they are selling for. I'm sure it would sell on there.
Just a thought too I could bring it to Salt Lake City (or anywhere along the way) during thanksgiving weekend. Just pay me for fuel
Jamie, I'm not really sure if it's originally a 4 barrel. Is there a way to find out with the original block? I have it in the garage torn apart. I dont have the original carb. It has a 4 barrel intake, if that means anything. (sorry i dont know much about that part of car) 4 speed conversion. Originally a 2 speed auto. The weather stripping around the windows that attach to the roof have been replaced. They're awesome. The door weatherstripping has also been replaced. The stripping for the wing window is good too, not cracked. The stripping for the quarter windows that's on the body are hard and have cracked. They shall be replaced. The window felt where the driver side window rolls up is loose. Shall be replaced. The doors and windows stay tight when driving and isnt a whistler at highway speeds. The pics of the bubbling are the only pics of bubbling. The passenger bottom quarter is bubbling, but what it's from is NOT rust, its from bondo that was put on and seems to be lifting. It's not rusty from the inside, nor on the outside. It's not soft or any signs of actual rust. Just seems like a 'smear and its good' job. To get a patch for it would fix it. I'm not sure what front suspension work has been done, if any....It's not really tight, but also i've never driven an other 65 skylark....So my experience isnt too great on that. It isnt something I'd take in a SCCA style race. :Brow: Racebuicks may be able to awnser that, he's driven it before...but may not remember how it was. I got a loan for the car when I bought it. I can have it paid off by tomorrow if needed, i just havent paid it off since I just started a new job and would rather save my money for a while then take a big chunk out. It's just through my local credit union. Also... Newly added photos on first page! 1. Passenger fender by door 2. Passenger side rear window stripping. Its cracked and you can see where the seat is splitting. 3. Headliner 4. Passenger wing window 5. Driver wing window with showing the 'loose' door window felt that needs replaced. 6. Driver side rear quarter panel bubbling. 7. Passenger side bottom quarter panel from front(notice the different paint shades) 8. Passenger side bottom quarter panel from rear 9. Passenger side bottom quarter panel-shows waves.
If you are trying to find out if it is a orginal 4 barrel engine, check the engine code on the passanger side of the block as long as the motor has not been decked, can't remeber off hand what the codes are but there is a unique code for the 250 hp 355 wildcat vs the 210 hp 310 wildcat if it is a orginal 4 speed the rear gear should be a 3:23 good luck with the sale 4 speed cars are lots of fun and not that bad on gas vs a big block (reason I bought my 4 door) Regards, Jim
