Hi Guys, Went to see a '65 Skylark convertible yesterday. It has its share of rust. Needs new trunk pan and driver side floor pan and rear quarter panels. I can get those parts to weld in but one area that concerns me is the rear panel. Just under the tailights is a rust line that runs from the driver's side to the passenger side. Not sure if I can fabricate a piece. May need to get a section from a donor car. Still mulling over acquiring the car. Engine runs great but owner said the transmission doesn't work in reverse.It has its issues but I think I can get it pretty cheap. Any thoughts ? Should I stay away from it. My wife said she doesn't want me to take in any more strays ! JB
