I'm lookin for a 65 Skylark drivers side door latch with a strong spring and the latch part would preferably not be worn out.I'm also looking for an A/C compressor, and a good front(no broken springs, and good foam) bench seat for the same vehicle cause with the seats I have now I tend to sink in the seat about 8" and that makes it hard to seat. Thanks, Philip
parts i have a 64 lasabre ac unit that has never been taken apart. will that work? i'm also going to a junk yard where i know there is a 65 skylark is. don't know what kind of parts are on it. the car itself looks to good to be there but he won't sell the whole car. can look around for some parts you may need.....mike
Just as an FYI, I just replaced the drivers door latch on my 65 Skylark with one from a 64 Skylark. Exact same part. I also have a complete air assembly including mounts, cooler, compressor and under dash outlets that I will not be putting back on. The compressor would be heavy to ship, you could probably get a reman cheaper locally. Keith
Is your A/C unit like a dealer add on?Because mine has the outlets in the dash.I need the compressor and the rubber lines that go to the steel lines that run in the fenders.
The A/C unit appears to be a factory job, not an add-on. It looks like the hoses were cut when it was removed. Keith
I have a 65 door latch that works good and an air conditioner compressor but don't know if it works. As a matter of fact,I have the entire car(65 Skylark).I bought it for the front clip but the rest of it is up for grabs. It's a 4 door though. johnie
gsconv65 What are you asking for the latch?Hows the rear window channel area on your car?Think its the same as a 2door? Thanks, Philip
Any info. on the latches guys?I'm lookin to buy one soon because I've got the engine put together(almost)and all thats left is to put the front-clip back on after I paint the frame so If you have any info let me know. Thanks, Philip
