Hello: I have a white interior in my '65 Skylark GS. This means that the dash pad is a shade of grey/charcoal. I want to have my dash restored by Just Dashes. They match the vinyl. However, somewhere along the way my grey dash was replaced with a black dash. So, does anyone have a cracked grey dash pad from a '65 Skylark white interior car they could send me to use as a sample? That way I can send my black dash along with this sample to Just Dashes for a perfect color match. Thanks in advance
Hi Dan, As you know, my white '65 GS hardtop has the original white interior. The dark gray dash is all original and has never been redyed. If you find another uncracked dashpad for your GS that is another color, it can be dyed to match the original gray. SEM Colorcoat Vinyl Dye, #15303 Graphite, is a great match to the original color. This can be bought at most automotive paint stores. If you can not find it locally, let me know and I'll get it for you. If you want to send your dash to Just Dashes and need a color swatch, I can send one to you on a piece of vinyl fabric that I have dyed with the SEM Graphite. I have compared it to to original dash and it's a 'dead on' match. I however, cannot send you a vinyl swatch from my original dash, sorry. I hope this helps. John
