65 Skylark rear seat worth??

I found a 65 Skylark conv't and the rear seat is still in it. The guy wants $90 bucks and I have to take it out. I am not into convt's but I figure I could sell it at Carlisle or whatever. Is it worth my time to do it and if so how hard to take out.
    Thanks

Very simple to take out. If it's black you may be able to move it quickly but I'm not sure if it's an exact match for a GranSport or not. See if you can get the rear side panels for the same price.

Thanks, there was a lot of stuff piled on the seat. I will see if the panels are still in when I go back next week. BTW the seats were turquoise, but I dont think the vinyl will be any good because the rear window is out of the top and its getting weathered so I imagine the material would be brittle.
    thanks again

    Rear Seat

The most important part of the rear seat is the springs. Make sure they are solid and not rusted through, especially the bottom set.

I sold a rear seat set from a 65 Skylark conv. (white) on ebay a couple years ago for around $125.00, so at as long as it's in decent condition you should be able to make a little money off it.

You could talk to the guy about taking a couple pictures of it.. putting it on ebay at a $125 reserve and if it sells simply buy it for $90 and keep the remainder.

    Good luck..

I was thinking about doing that if he lets me. Its sitting behind his barn an is loaded full of junk.. They are calling for snow here again, so maybe nextweek if it melts etc and is not to bad out, I will be going back to him.

    thanks

    Convertible

What does the rest of the car look like?

Does it have a pair of solid doors or quarter panels?

    Thanks,

    Chris

getnbye, due to work and other things I haven't been back yet. I will take a look at them when I get there, other wise you might want to take gsconv65 on his offer.
BTW just so I and gsconv65 know, where are you located??

    Just Getting back...

Sorry guys.. just getting back to the site.

I appreciate the offer on the doors. I actually found a pair from Arizona (Desert Dog autoparts) and paid $650 for the pair.

They came with some bonuses.. an almost perfect pit free remote mirror and beautiful side vents.

I'm from the North West part of Ohio.

To answer your original question about the rear seat.. this is one I just sold a couple weeks ago on Ebay..

    Not bad at all.. :Brow:

I shipped it in two parts via FedEx. I simply wrapped it tightly in stretchwrap and shipped it that way.

All I have left are the rear interior panels in fair to good shape and if I can remember where I put it, I have the rear tack strip that holds the boot on--I think that whats its called--its a metal/velcro piece that slides on the rear seat--o yeah, almost forgot-I have the rear seat but that is listed on ebay. Here is a pic of the rear interior panels
