    Hi guys,

Yesterday, my mom, an extremely cautious and safe LOL driver and original owner of her '65 Special Convertible, was sitting still in a quiet part of San Francisco, waiting for a parking space to be vacated up the street a bit, when another non-cautious non-safe LOL jumped into her own car, put it in reverse and backed up out of her space without bothering to look behind her.

She plowed right into the passenger door on my mom's Buick, actually puncturing a hole in the sheetmetal (but I believe damage is confined to the door skin, probably not even the frame was involved).

This door is a replacement, as some other idiot did exactly the same thing about 30 years ago. Lo and behold, this accident yesterday revealed tons of bondo in the door.

Although it might be possible to repair it, it's probably more cost-effective to just replace the door entirely. But where exactly does one go to get a replacement door for a '65 Skylark/Special convertible?

Please point me at potential sources, with northern California obviously being preferred.

    THANKS!

I believe that you could also use one from a 2 door hardtop, if you cannot find a suitable convertible door.

Turns out the damage was only slight. The door was a replacement, and was filled with bondo, so hopefully it will be pulled straight and then repaired properly (well, as properly as you can without cutting the bad metal out and fabricating a new skin by hand).
