Need a known good working speedometer for my `65 Skylark. I believe the `64 is the same. Don't need the entire bezel, just the speedometer.

I have several dash units available if interested. $50.00 plus shipping from 43512. If interested let me know. The other unit has all of the switches and the clock. The one pictured would be your best option.

1/4 tank of gas and 52,000 miles. Not bad for a 50 + year old car.

Heads up , '64 and '65 instrument clusters are different. The fuel gauge is different ohm rating and the electrical plug on a '64 cluster is round whereas the '65 has a rectangular plug.

Understood, but as I stated in my 1st post, all I need is the speedometer head, not the rest of the dash. Something is up with mine. The needle quivers rapidly and in less than 50 miles I've twisted the end off of 2 cable cores. No need to keep doing that. I'm planning to the get one from Steve Reynolds. The workmanship on his Alpha Lark project that I've seen in pictures here is way over the top stunning and I've been dying for an excuse to drive up and see it. This is it.

The one I have is out of a 65 Skylark. I understand all you want is the speedometer head and I don't consider what I posted "as the rest of the dash". Thanks for looking.

Sorry Glenn, my last post was in no way pointed at you nor was it meant to be sarcastic. I only made the post to clear up that I really didn't care what year it was because all I needed was the speedometer. In retrospect I should have worded it differently and I apologize if anyone misunderstood and was offended by it. And I do appreciate all the responses. If the one I pick up from Steve doesn't work out then I will be back here to choose another option.
