Just received a hood-to-cowl seal for my '65 Wildcat. It came from Steele Rubber and does not fit. Steele's P/N is 82-0039-42, but it was mfg. by Metro. Called Steele and was advised that the seal is now one of their own extrusions, although both the Steele and Metro profiles are much too tall for the hood to close properly. And the hood hinges can't be adjusted to accommodate the difference. I took this photo showing both cross-sections; Steele on left, original on right. Please let me know if an "original" replacement is available anywhere. I sent the photo to Steele, hoping they have the original extrusion in their inventory.
