66 electra-71 boat tail-68 lark need parts?

i have been getting so much support from you guys on my header fiasco,i want to help you guys out.these cars are in my local yard,i was there today.
66 electra 4 door:this car has a very good/mint front clip including grille & bezels.the rocker moulding is all there and also looks mint,still complete car.
71 riv:kinda ratty overall,budget interior,grille is very good,trunk lid w/slats good w/surface rust.
68 lark 4 door:has side chrome,grille broken but clip looks ok.
post what you are looking for,dont be in a hurry as i still have just shy of a foot of snow,and am getting too old to grovel around in the cold.i know the owner and can have him stash the cars for a while maybe o No: i cant give prices untill i see what you need,and find out myself

Hi Jamie,
Check out the engine in the Riv., if it's still there. Look for a solenoid bracket or a dashpot bracket. Just ahead of the carb., driver's side. Be careful. I know all about lots of snow & trying to get into old wrecks.

 

the riv was actually offered to me in trade for rebuilding a winch motor for the tow company that impounded it.it was bad enough that i passed.would have taken about $60.00 in parts & my labor.the motor WAS complete at that time,but thought to be bad.i will take a look when i go again :TU: i spent 10 min chipping frozen snow off the lark hood,to open it & STILL couldnt get it open.hopefully it will warm up next week

 

If the 71 Riv has manual windows. I'd be interested in the interior upper quarter panels, where the window crank passes through

 

I am looking for a pair of white/off white door lock knob buttons. Can you see if the '68 lark has them?

'71 Riv parts

I would be interested in the grill if the screw mount posts are not cracked. Also if you have the flip up am/fm radio I could use the plastic slide piece. I almost forgot..I would also be interested in the cruise control stalk(turn signal w/ button) thanks...Soren

 

keep posting i am making a list.like i said dont be in a hurry,but i should go again by mid week.

 

If you're still adding to the list, I need a nice rear licence plate holder piece, the assembly that the licence bolts to, and is hinged to reveal the gas filler cap.

john,which car? first pic is 66 bumper,it is straight i am showing the corner,same on the other side.grill is second,has cracks in screw mtg holes,top rdiver bar cracked,but in one piece.door locks are off white mike!!!with the threaded,rusted rod showing thru the stems :ball: no cruise on the riv,carb is gone,no mtg stuff.looks like we are striking out.sorry guys ou:

 

I'm looking for the complete rear licence plate, hinged backer piece that screws to the rear bumper from the 71 Riviera.

Is this the yard s. of Newport near Diamond Lake?

I live in Spokane w/a '68 Skylark that needs work. I stopped by a yard, brick red fence, etc. in the Diamond Lake area. Is that the yard you're talking about? o No:

The riv parts

No Hijack intened here, but the 71 riv thread "pillaging a 71 Riv boattail" lists a ton of parts for the 71 Riv I have saved from the crusher.

I also have a 64. I am not a Riv guy, but I am certified BUICK crazy.

 

Does that 66 have matching driver and passenger mirrors. Also have you checked on posi rearend and switch pitch tranny? I'm interested in the mirrors especially, possibly the tranny, and I'm sure someone in the "Boatload" forum would be interested in the posi. I'm in Portland OR. Thanks.

 

i will look at the mirrors next time.i dont really want to pull the rear in the snow uzzled: im not doing this for profit,just to help out,so if you guys want big stuff call them 509-447-2487 the guy is kinda "different"wants to keep everything for that someday project,then ends up crushing them :ball: the 66 is a complete car in not bad shape,he also has a 66 2dr on his "used car lot"

Can't blame you on that! Been chilly here lately but with the snow and the way up north you are I'd bet it's been witch's tit cold this year. I'll give the guy a call tomorrow and see what he's got. Let me know what you find on the mirrors - and thanks. BTW, I e-mailed you about alternators etc.

I looked at the white 4dr last summer and he wasn't interested in parting it out at the time. I remember seeing the Electra out front too. Sitting there for some time. This yard doesn't seem real 'organinzed' if you know what I mean. ou:

russ, i am on hwy 211 milemarker 11 between usk & hwy 2.kinda no-mans-land :TU: we moved from newport about 18mo ago from hwy 2 & gray rd.if youve been to newport,you drive right past my old house(its 4 sale,anyone want to buy?)the guy had a 64 lark i wanted the rear chrome ,he said hmmm,i dont know.crushed it :ball: when i was looking it over,i grabbed the glass washer bottle w/legible cap & bracket,they pulled up to the gate,stared right at me,LOCKED THE GATE AND LEFT!so i got a "gift"that day :spank:the 66 has a complete trunk release i want but he still hasnt called,guess i have to catch him at the bar,buy him a few and cut a deal. :beer
