This approval gives you full access to the site, to pictures, and to post, among other things. To be able to enjoy the full potential of the board for you, you need to be fully registered.. and that's easy.. Just send an email to me at jim@trishieldperformance.com and I will verify your registration. This policy will remain in effect indefinitely, as it has completely eliminated the bad actors from our site, who would spam and hack it, once they gained access. Thanks JW

66 GS Hardtop Car

Discussion in 'Cars for sale' started by PackerBacker, Mar 16, 2023.

I am selling this car for a friend. It has been barn stored for 20 years having been purchased by her husband who passed. It was in a super dry barn (I had a car parked next to it for 14 years that still looks as good as when I parked it there).

This is a 1966 GS hardtop 44617FL1 car. I'm not sure where the car was prior to West Michigan but the pictures show quite well and there's very very little pitting in any pot metal. The chrome also looks good considering the age. The original color is Saddle Mist Poly and it was sprayed a different color. Non a/c, black vinyl top, black bucket seat interior with center console.

Supposedly the original motor was rebuilt but being so many years ago I would recommend a tear down and cleaning. The original trans is in the car I do not know yet if it is a posi rearend (never thought to look). The hard to find exhaust manifolds and motor mounts are there. The pot metal on the hood and the hood itself are in great condition. The pictures tell most of the story as far as the body goes. You can see rust in the drivers side foot well.

The bad news on the car is the frame. It has some holes in it. It is a GS boxed channel frame but it's not in great shape. Most likely a situation where a new frame would make sense.

Car is located north of Grand Rapids and is for sale for $4000.00 rolls very easily - so it's trailer ready.
Please let me know if you have any questions there are plenty of honest pictures and descriptions of parts available.
    Thanks,
    Steve
