Can someone please help me out with Fender bolts. I need the bolts that hold the inner fenders in place. I also need the 2 that bolt inside the door. Also, I might need the lower fender clips. I know at least one of the clips is frozen. I know a bunch of you 66 guys have had parts cars and might have this stuff laying around. I am tight on cash right now and I hope someone can help me out. I will get a count of the inner fender bolts I need. Thank you, Bob jerseysky66
How many do you need? I have probably got some spares. They used the same bolts for the whole front clip, but I like to use the "M" marked ones at the top f the core support. Dan
Dan, It looks like I need around 20 inner fender bolts. I need the 2 bigger bolts inside the door area. I could really use the 2 lower fender clips also. I have a picture of one of my clips. [/IMG] [/IMG] Please let me know. Thank you, Bob jerseysky66
Has anyone heard from Dan?? I see he has not been on the site for a few days. I need to get the fenders on soon. I am cleaning up the engine department and after that I will need the bolts. Thank you, jerseysky66 - Bob
Bob, Ground Up has a great selection of hardware. It's not that expensive. A complete kit is $40. Inner fender kit is $26. http://www.ss396.com/mm5/merchant.m...=chevellecamino&Category_Code=SHEETMETALBOLTS
Thanks Walt for the link I am going to dig through my bolts and see what I come up with. I know that the price is not bad, but I am on a low budget. I am barely making any money right now. I guess if I can not find enough the kit looks like it will work. [/IMG] I am making some progress with the car. I should have the engine painted soon. BOB
I was in home cheapo the other day and looked to see if they have the J clips and I believe they do. They look on the cheap side. I will check to see if ACE hardware has better ones. I did find almost enough bolts. So hopefully the fenders will be on soon Thank you, Bob
Are you planning on selling the car after completing? I assume this is the same car that had the front end removed?
I might drive it around for a while and then sell it. I am not sure. I hate to do all this work and get rid of it. The only thing is I need to work on my 72 and the other 66 I have. So little time - So many projects. My buddy is a welder by trade and is helping for BEER :beer So I have that on my side. He also can do some auto body work.
LOOKS LIKE I HIT THE JACKPOT Ace hardware has the large clips for lower fender for 90 cents each Home Cheapo wanted $2.35 each and they looked very cheap :blast: They also had the carburetor stud I needed :beer
