Anyone intersted in something like this? I can't believe it isn't rusted through. This is still on the '66 special parts car I just bought. It is dented on the back end and has a small crease in it, but no rust through.

Is the tailpanel intact (part between the taillights)????

If so, would you be willing to part with it???

I am also in need of a drivers side armrest (pad and base). Does not need to be perfect, my car will be a driver and did not come with one.

    Let me know

    Thanks

The car has been backed into something, so the sheet metal between the tailights is junk. This is a Special, so it doesn't have the big panel on the back that says Skylark on it. I do have one of those in the attic off of another parts car I might could be persuaded to part with though.
As for the armrests, this car has the base model interior and I don't think it is what you are looking for:

As for the rear quarter panel, send me an E-mail at Stonesautomotive@juno.com and I will get back to you once I get that far into disassembling the car. With all that is going on with the holidays and the cold weather, it will be a few months before I get it down that far.

    Woah, now I am confused.

I was under the impression that the 66GS and special had a unique trim panel between the taillights. It was smooth (rather then the ribbed Skylark one). The Skylark one that I have is in pretty good shape. Do the special and GS just not have that trim part? I have a correct set of 66GS emblems and could see no way how the rear one would fit on the trim part. Keep in mind, I am building a clone (sorta).

Of course I have not seen a 66GS in person so I could be wrong.

Have any pics to help clarify my confusion???

    thanks

The GS and Special don't have that big panel on the back like a Sklark. To make yours look like a GS, you would have to fill in all of those holes that the mounting studs for your panel go through. Then there are two pieces of trim--one at the top edge in and one at the bottom edge just above the bumper. The flat area between them is painted flat black and has the Gran Sport emblem near the passenger side taillight. I don't have a picture of one and the trim on this Special I have is no good--the car was backed into something and it is all bent up. The special has the same trim as the GS, the area between the trim is just painted the color of the car instead of flat black though.
