To buy or not to buy. There's a 66 Wildcat Custom 2dr, for sale. The owner wants a long dollar for it. It's been sitting for a few years. If I walked in with the right offer I could bring it home. I was thinking $300 to $500. It would probably run and drive with a little attention. I could part it out or sell it whole. I'd like the tranny out of it. I'd have to put rubber under it and rent a trailer to haul it home, say $100 cost. 66 Wildcat Custom, 56,000 original miles, Alberta car originally, has not been on the road since 78, 401, 4bbl, 3 sp switch pitch. Frame solid, floor good, solid bumpers. Trunk, rear quarter's, lower front fenders need work, 100% there, frost plug out of motor on drivers side lower, bottom rad hose removed. Power seats, power windows, including power vent windows, tilt, buckets, console, no tach, power antenna, radio, clock. 8 rims. Motor rolls over by hand. No title.
If you get it and part it out, I'd be interested in the power vent motors and wiring and maybe a set of wheels too. Does it have a/c?
The car looks like a good restoration candidate, providing you have the space, time, and most importantly the $$$$$ or the know how to do the work yourself. :TU: Besides, you don't often see too many loaded Wildcats. More plain janes seem to have survived. I say go for it! :bglasses:
Hi, Sorry it dosen't have air. I agree it looks like a good restoration candidate. I know if I bring something else home to restore my wife is going to :blast: . Especially when she's taken to a 61 "Invicta thats locally for sale. Bruce
