I have an opportunity to buy a very rare 66 Wildcat GS convertible...one of only 20-25 according to my research. Good running and driving condition, not a show car, numbers matching 401...no idea what this might be worth. I didn't even know Buick made a Wildcat GS until I started looking into this. Anyone? Thanks for the help!
Correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe you're not looking at a GS, but rather a standard Wildcat convertible. I say this because of the 401 nailhead, but the GS's only came with 425s. If that's the case, your production numbers are much higher and value will drop. Pay what you think the car's worth. Got any pics??
It is a real GS convertible but non-original motor. 425 is gone. With that in mind any guesses on it's value would be helpful. Thanks
Topcat needs to respond to this question. I would say without the original motor, production #'s don't mean much. Production #'s would be important to a purist and so would matching #'s. Rick
