I have one set of '67 Big port heads from a 430. Casting numbers are 1382985-1 and 1382985-2.
    The production dates are: F-19 & E-31

They will fit the 400's and 455's.

I just had them bead blasted and magnafluxed at a local machine shop and they are crack free. I told them to double check since these heads are notorious for cracking and still they (Westbay Auto and Machine shop) said they are good.
One of the heads got some scratches from the "Shake & Bake" bead blaster. They are shallow and they said will come out when the heads are resurfaced.

They have the valves and springs if you want them, but they WILL need a valve job before you can run them.

$350 plus shipping for the set.

    Thank you,

    Just curious,

who did you ship with, and how much were they to ship? Two packages I take it?

    Hello Chris,

Shipping via UPS to 16501 (each package shipped separately with $200 insurance on each) comes to $48 each. Shipping total = $96.00
Total would be via UPS - $446

    Kimson:
When I ship via Fedex. I pack each head separately and then combine those two packages into one big package. This creates greater protection from the abuse they WILL encounter from handling. (I worked at UPS for seven years...)
Each single package weighs 65lbs. Together with the additional cardboard the weight comes to 131lbs.
I insured it for $450 to cover the item and shipping costs in case of any problems.

When I ship via UPS it is cheaper to keep them separate. So I pack them up nice and bulky, rolling them up in thick cardboard so the cardboard is at least four or five layers thick.

    Thank you.

    Hello Keith.

I guess they are yours now if you want them. I have received no responses to my emails and PM's I sent to Chris.

Do you want the valves, springs and retainers? I assume you do but since they are already out of the heads I'll ship them in a different box. Or if you want I can put them all back in, but they are all dirty and the heads are nice and clean and I didn't want to do that. Your call, I'll do whatever you would like.
If you want them in a separate box, then I'll pack them good but tight so the new box won't cost much shipping.

Let me know what you would like.

    Thank you,

Here are a few pictures of one of the exhaust valves. Checking for sunken exhaust valves? I hope these show what you need.

    Thank you,
