Selling my 67 GS400 engine, complete from pan to carb, NR code 400 with the better flowing 67 manifolds still attached. Motor is grimey just like the day it came out of the car, I figured the grease would keep the motor nice.:TU: Valve covers are just light surface rust. The pics don't do it any justice, but it is what it is. Motor rotates. was removed about 8 years ago. The carb # is 7028240 which is a 68 riv carb # but this thing looks totally original so your guess is as good as mine as far as the carb #s go. NR code and the vin from the car are clear as day. Also bolted to the back of the motor is the original Switch Pitch super turbine 400 with the converter switch and bracket and at least part of the wiring harness, and torque converter. Trans is a BA code which is 67 GS400 specific and has the short tail shaft and the speedo drive gear. Asking $900.00 for both pieces. I couldn't find one to save my life as I was missing the engine and tranny to my 67 gs convertible. I ended up building up a 455 that is sitting on my engine stand as we speak. If you end up dumping it or going to salvage, let me know. I just don't have the coin for it. Damn!
sounds like this would be the perfect engine and trans for your car!! I don't think I'd dump it though..:3gears:
I know and I am close by in NH. If I didn't spend the coin on my engine already, I would be all over this.
