13.89, no more passengers at the track. 14.00 is the co-pilot cutoff at NED. Where was that, Lebanon? NED is back in action , next Streetnights are the 1st and 3rd. http://www.v8buick.com/index.php?threads/new-england-dragway-streetnights.358513/#post-3081819 Jim
Champion radiators are by far the best I've come across for an average Joe Blow car. I run them in everything. Affordable, fit like stock, and made in the USA. Plus good people working there. Do it.
https://www.dewitts.com/ I bought one of these for the 68. Custom made for my car. fit like it was supposed to be there and the car keeps the temps at the stat rating which now Im considering lowering. Yes it did cost an arm n leg but I'll probably never need another in my lifetime.
Sometimes you can clean using white vinegar. I did that to my Suburban radiator and got a ton of white scale out....it helped some but still probably 1/4 clogged. Used to get radiators rodded out or re-cored but I bet not many shops doing it anymore since new aluminum radiators not that expensive. If on a budget I've found great plastic tank aluminum radiators at junkyard for cheap. Have had one in my GS for 20 years....cost like 50 bucks....
John ,if you are going to push your car at the track, heed Steve/Briz's advice . He's from the "been there , done that" crowd , and knows his Rivs. Always better to go large when it comes to cooling and braking. Jim
Definitely possible, and I’m not nice to it. The 200 footer burnout I laid today might help explain that.
Always do. And I will check if the oil that burnt on to the headers is mostly gone. That would stop the super-heating and burning that keeps happening under heavy throttle
