Someone asked a question here, maybe this morning. He/she wanted to know if the rear wheel well mouldings from a '67 wagon fit on a 2dr. hardtop. I looked & thought I could look it up tonight, after work. Now I can't find the thread.......maybe I was still asleep? Gr.12.116 P/N 4229834 & 35 433-434/07-69 435-436/17-69 446 Looks like they will fit any '67.
It was me! It was me!!! I stumbled into your post...I was the guy ... if you can help I would appreciate...thanks a bunch Michel Post or email at marsenea@telus.net
I don't have any first hand experience with the wagon wheel well moldings, and I certainly can't argue with Steve's part numbers from his books, but I've always been told that they are a few inches longer than the GS moldings and can't be bolted on a GS without some extensive rework. o No:
This info. is based purely on my Cdn. parts book. I've no first hand experience either. 433/434 are Special, different engines. 435/436 are Special Deluxe, 443/444 Skylark & Custom Sportwagon,448 is Wood Grained Wagon,446 is Gran Sport 400. 07/27 are post coupe, 17/37 hardtop,35/55 2 dr. wagon- 2 seat, 39 is 4 dr. hardtop, 69 is 4 dr. sedan, 65 is 4 dr. wagon-3 seat, 67 is 2 dr. ragtop. Someone can review again for me, but it looks like they all interchange? An American book will likely be the same. I know the mouldings ahead & behind the wheel wells are different.
Sport Wagon Mouldings Life is never simple is it! o No: I have one mabe but I don't think so and one pretty sure. My Skylark falls into the 443 category...any other comments out there? Michel
Re: Sport Wagon Mouldings I wondered the same thing about the wagon trim. So what was the final verdict? Does it work or was it all a crock of poo?ray:
