I'm going to buy new ones for my front bumper, and wonder if anyone has an opinion on NOS vs reproductions? I have repros on the rear bumper, and they seemed to be a poor fit to me. I see repros at CARS Inc, and NOS at The Buick Farm, with quite a big diff in price. Are NOS worth the premium you have to pay? I think the set of 4 pieces from CARS was about $24 total, while a single piece NOS from Buick Farm is $19.
Hello David , what do you ended up with ? I do buy a rechromed front bumper last winter that I'm gonna change in couple of weeks . I have my old used bumper filler but if repro are ok I think I'll go with that . Anyone has some repro for your 68-69 fr bumper ?? Thank you
As I recall (it's been 3 yrs), I reused a couple of my originals and bought a couple of nicer used pieces from a board member.
I used repros from Year One on my front and rear bumpers. They were a terrible fit. I had to cut the slots deeper and really work them in to make them fit.
