Buddy of mine is wanting to replace the frame under his 71 skylark. I was just curious if anyone had one for sale and if so how much.... Would prefer a rolling chassis.

    thanx

I know convertible frames are different than hardtop frames.

    Ken,
All 68-72 A-body coupe frames interchange. So will the 70 versions from GS455 cars. Those are supposed to have thicker frame material. Convertibles have boxed frames and are unique to convertibles. You should have no problem getting a rolling chassis. Someone on www.classicalpontiac.com
has one from a 70 GTO w/posi and disc brakes for $500-600. I don't know if it is still there but check it out. You can also visit www.442.com and check out some Chevelle sites too. Good Luck!
