I am not sure if this is the place to put this, but here goes. I am not sure if anyone is aware of the the non console boot for the Buick is the same as 66-9 Oldsmobile with no console. Although I have not been able to cross the numbers to be 100 per cent sure, but the one I did see in a 70 Stage 1 appeared to be identical. If I am wrong then please ignore. If I am correct then they are being reproduced by Fusick Automotive, and will be available soon. No more torn boots!!!!!

66 Olds 442 Group 4.015 -standard trans shift seal (boot), except console = #389905 [Olds converted to the Hurst rectangular shaped shifter before Buick]

70 Buick GS standard trans lever seal,( boot) non consolette = #389905 [From 70 Skylark Assembly Manual, PAGE 7-9.1]

Ken I hope you are doing well. Hopefully this info is what you wanted to hear.

Hi Jim......Yes, thats very helpful.......Thank You

All is well here, just took a break from the buick scene for awhile. Been playing with a nova lately.

Im now ready to start with the 70 small block stick car.

Im curious if any of the other repro shifter tunnels are close to the buicks?

BTW........saw the pictures of the triple black 70 convert, all I can say....stunning/priceless

I spoke to a Fusick rep at the Carlisle swap meet in April....he said the boot will be out in a month or two. Nice to hear it'll fit the later GS's, but us early GS guys need a boot for a round shifter. :Dou:
Guess I could always use the new boot with a Hurst shifter...
