need help. having trouble finding chrome strip on both frt. fenders. this strip is located aprox 4 inches below top of fender & is aprox 8 inches long. i got a set off of a buick special , the mounting holes are diff. anybody familiar with these or can tell me if a reprod. is made for the california model??? thanks.
Sorry, you won't find any reproductions of that trim piece (ventiport). I'm thinking maybe the mounting holes are different among the model years? What year was the car you got that set from? Might have to be sure to get from a 68 donor car. I would think your best bet might be salvage yard hunting. 'Course you never know if someone here might know of a parts car. Good luck!
I think the part that you are looking for was only used on '68 Sportwagons and Special Deluxe model cars. Since the California GS was based on the Special Deluxe series the part should be the same. I checked my parts book and it does not list a special trim piece for the Cali GS so you should be able to find one in a bone yard. Good luck :beer
