I have bought 4 climate controls in the last couple weeks off Ebay neither one looked very good So i asked a friend to see what he could make me heres what he came up with not very expensive at all and an easy quick fix do you think its close enough to use if i paint the rest of the bezel to match ?
That doesn't look bad at all. Is it adhesive-backed, or will you need to glue it? There could be a market here for more of them.
Ricky- looks very nice! My only concern would be back lighting. Maybe make it a double layered decal. One a 'clear' that would be the base with the black letters, then the top silver decal with areas around the letters w/o silver? That way, the letters would be lightly lit?
Its adhesive David so should not need any glue Ive spent $200 on the control panels and they both looked ok on ebay but when i got them they were just average at best was just hoping for an easy way to fix
Hey George i did think about lighting but it took him about a month just to make that I sent it to him the day you took it out i was happy just to get something from him im hoping it will light a little bit atleast get me by for a while Maybe refinance the house and call the billionaire for an NOS one :eek2:
Hey Mark it is on its way No $ needed glad to help out Just take your time i ruined 2 of them trying to get mine on But once on looked pretty good i finally got it on straight by applying it on the plate while wet this way you can move it around a little bit before it dries a little soapy water in a spray bottle will really help
