But .... Sharp car . I would have to check the car out real good though . 5,000 original miles ... Hmmm
Bruce, I had a long talk with the owner of the car, it is a real low milage vehicle. The unfortunate part is the dealer got his hands on it and thought a cheap undercoating would help the car out. The underside looks like a kindergarter class painted it. They took a wonderful car and trashed it. No longer is this car capable of winning pionts at a BCA meet, it's now just an overpriced old Buick GS. Very sad, because it was a very nice car
68 GS California Now that is sad ... :error: And with a dealer price tag . Thanx for the heads up Mark :TU:
That car was on ebay about 3 months ago, it was close by me and I was going to look at it until I saw shots of the bottom of the car :ball: They ruined it with the undercoating. The headliner also had a hole from a mouse? I think you could have picked up for 1/2 or less of the current asking price when it was on ebay. Some one is trying to flip it and make big $
They told me they paid 19K for it. Looks like some one is looking to make a killing. Hope they like it, since they will probably have it a long long time.
....cant the undercoating be removed ?? Also - are the fender "vents" correct for the Cali GS in '68 ?? no fake brake vent on the bottom of the fender ?? doesn't look quite right to me .... uzzled:
Alan, do your research! :moonu: :moonu: There were a few threads on the 68-69 Cali's. 69 has no vents, no trim. 68 has those 3 'slats' up high on the fender- no 'faux vents' due to the California being an 'option' on the Special Deluxe. Has GS grille, hood, emblems, motor, trans but that was about it. Standby for links..... http://v8buick.com/showthread.php?t=58879&highlight=special+deluxe+tagged
