I am looking for some repro Quarter pannels. Can any one tell me the best place to get these? I have a convertable if that matters.
To my knowledge, no one makes correct 68 quarters at all. HT 69 quarters can be had, with the rectangular cutouts. Not sure about 'vert pieces 68 or 69...
How well do the Repro Quarters fit? Are they a lot thinner than the orignal? Thanks for the help. I just dicovered this site. I have learned more about more about my car in the last few days (ware to find parts, ware to have parts restored ect.) than I had learned in the 5 years that I have had it. I wish I would have found it a long time ago.
They fit nice but are not exact as the body lines are off ..your gona be using plenty of bondo any way as there designed for hardtops these are Tabco panels stay away from JC WHitney stuff ...useless
If TPP has them the're probably Tabco. I think they the only co. making them now. I even heard that the die was damaged and they were unsure about any future repops. Maybe just a rumor but it was floating around here for awhile. The website is www.tabcobodyparts.com
Don't bother, I've had a pair on backorder for over a year, ended up cutting up a skylark. Glad you reminded me I really need to cancel that order.
I bought a pair from here http://www.shermanparts.com/ back in 1990 for my '68 GS coupe. They also had the '69 rear marker light so they may be from the same die as the rest being sold. The body man that put them on my '68 GS400 coupe said they fit pretty good and the looked good when he was done. Now that was 16 years ago so I have no idea if they are the same panels now o No:
