First time classic Buick owner here, love to forum so far. Have had my Riv for a few days now and have noticed that after about an hour, my passenger-side headlights slowly fall down (driver's side is okay). At night, they both come down, and will go back up - they function fine. The pass. side just doesn't stay up. Hoping that someone here has some ideas of what might be happening. This is my first car with a vacuum-assisted accessory like this, so I'm in unfamiliar territory. Thanks!
ah... the joys of vaccuum operated hideaway headlights! you have a very slow leak somewhere in the system, problem is finding it. usual suspects: vac relay inside the fender by the battery tee's by the cans at front of car fittings where the hoses go into the cans and the manifold & tank way up inside the drivers front fender do a search of this site for 'riviera headlights' tons of info here. good luck! :beer
Welcome, Jason. Nice car. Spinners, blacked out grill, tinted windows - very cool look. By the way, my headlights stay up just fine, but once they do go down they often can't get back up, depending of course on the phase of the moon, solar winds, and the Mayan calendar.
Welcome ! accaciaavenue - nice Riviera.
