I found my car locally on Craig's List- one of those too good to be true cars.
It had a '70 Buick 455 installed- and running. Otherwise, the car is completely stock. I got the original numbers matching engine with the car. It still has the original numbers matching TH400 installed, which was a bonus. I pulled the 455 and sold it. The original 400 is going back in.
Pics were taken within a day of bringing it home- it was a 10 footer. The interior is very nice- all original with just a few small tears in the seats. I'm doing a frame-off restoration- so far, so good. Some minor rust in bottom of front fenders- the core support and right inner fender are shot-- anyone have or know where I can get a solid core support????? Otherwise, the car is very solid.
This is our family's 4th Skylark. My brother had a '65 GS400 4 spd. he got in college (wish I still had that one!); my Mom had a '68 Skylark 350 2 door; and my first brand new car after college, before I entered the Air Force was a '72 Skylark 2-door, bucket seats, with 350-4. I'm really excited to finally have another Buick.

Beautiful car to start with. I am in the middle of my frame off as well. I started 10/30 and almost have the frame rolling and complete.

Then the body which was a west coast car. Very straight exterior but rust in the trunk.? Anyways good luck!!
